What does your next roadshow look like?
With the summer event season about to kick off, teams are getting ready to send their branded pop-ups out into the big wide world. Be it trucks, self-drives, trailers, containers or inflatables - the options are endless. Here are a few of our favourites from years gone by.
Nyetimber’s Routemaster Bus
Nyetimber, producers of one of England’s finest sparkling wines (and neighbours of PickledEgg), have modified a beautiful old 1968 Routemaster bus and turned it into a luxurious hospitality area to showcase the brand at summer events. With three areas including the Garden, Lower Deck and Upper Deck, guests are spoilt for choice for places to while away a sunny afternoon. Spotted at Badminton Horse Trials last weekend, this bus is on-brand and eye-catching. Great job Nyetimber!
The Ashmei Mobile Store went on a European tour in an Airstream trailer produced by our sister company Silver Belles. AirshopPhoenix is completely on-brand – every inch is Ashmei. A new hydraulic door reveals a stunning interior, featuring a bed, a pop-up 3DTV, a coffee machine, a wood-burning stove, LED-lit walling and, of course, the entire ashmei product range.
MINI’s Shipping Container
MINI’s “Another Day, Another Adventure” campaign in Australia saw the car manufacturer take a shipping container on tour across five states. The re-locatable display was modified to suit the brief and easily transported to each location via existing shipping container infrastructure such as road, rail and sea.
Grey Goose’ Camionnette Van
Retro vehicles like camper vans and old school buses are frequently seen on the roadshow circuit. One of our favourites comes from Grey Goose Martini who modified a retro Citroën van into a luxurious bar! Two guests at a time were invited inside to receive a private cocktail consultation with a mixologist. During the consultation the Grey Goose story was told creating an immersive (and delicious) experience.
Aston Martin’s Transparent Truck
Trucks come in all shapes and sizes and include ex-F1 trucks, ice cream vans, retro campers… the list goes on! However, our favourite use of a truck recently comes from Aston Martin Europe. Aston Martin showed off their creative side and transported 007’s DB10 in the back of a transparent truck whilst touring the car to different European dealerships. It turned heads and gained plenty of social media coverage. Ford had a similar idea when they transported their GT40 racer around London before it’s debut at the season opening race of the FIA World Endurance Championships at Silverstone.
