How do you reward a group of young London creatives?

The brief was a staff reward event for a big group of young creatives. They had stuck together and achieved something incredible – the thank you had to match.

The Challenge

The client, a leading creative agency in London, had made the Sunday Times 100 Best Companies to Work For list and wanted to celebrate the achievement and thank employees. They wanted the event to have a festival theme and to take place at the end of the summer. Accommodation was required and the client wanted guests to receive VIP treatment throughout.

The BIG idea

We pitched an exclusive experience attending one of the country’s leading music festivals on the Isle of Wight as VIPs. Using our specialist contacts, the group would have their own VIP camping field complete with private bars, toilets and showers. To create a once-in-a-lifetime feel, we would work with the festival organisers to fully brand their private area, and we would create a number of high-impact moments, such as a huge cake celebrating the client’s ranking in the Sunday Times list. We would take care of all the logistics, travel arrangements, ticketing and festival health and safety.

The Highlights

The fancy dress theme for which the festival is known proved very popular with the client. Working with the client we set a challenge for employees to create outfits tying the festival theme and company branding together. Attendees embraced the challenge and applied all their talent to creating some truly extraordinary outfits that made them really stand out in a big crowd. This added to the celebratory feel, party mood and brand reinforcement, which were the client’s key objectives.

The Upshot

The event was a big success and made a huge impact on the client’s employees. The “better than a night out in London” feel that everyone took away from the event helped to cement and promote the client’s achievement and strengthen brand engagement and brand loyalty. The solution surpassed the client’s brief providing an event that would be hard to beat, cementing they place in the Sunday Times 100 Best Companies to Work For list.
