This was a VIP, director-level winter incentive travel trip to France. The bar was set high and we had to deliver an exceptional brand experience.

The Challenge

The client wanted a director-level corporate ski trip for 20 people. The client had a reputation for amazing incentive travel trips and this one had to meet this expectation. The destination had to appeal to a well-travelled group with a “work hard, play hard” mentality. There had to be slopes for beginners and advanced skiers as well as great après-ski. The group required single rooms in luxury accommodation (always a tough request in ski resorts). Included within this bespoke experience were transfers, flights, insurance, ski hire, lessons, lift passes, ski guides and exceptional hosting.

The BIG idea

We pitched Meribel in the French Alps as the venue for the event. A beautiful, world-famous resort, it is one we know very well. Using our close links with the destination, we could offer the group rooms in a brand new luxury hotel just seconds from the slopes. The group would have access to ski guides and lessons, and would enjoy exclusive drinks receptions and gourmet picnics on the slopes in areas that could be accessed by skiers of all levels. They would also be treated to VIP treatment in bars, restaurants and clubs. In addition, the event would include some surprise activities, including an exclusive mountain-top dinner to which the group would travel on skidoos.

The Highlights

Thanks to our specialist knowledge of the resort and creative flair, the group enjoyed an extraordinary week on the slopes. With great weather and skiing conditions, the group fully engaged with the party theme of the event, getting into fancy dress one day and making the most of the exclusive après-ski. The skidoos and secret mountain-top dinner made a big impression with the group, as did the standard of the hotel and its proximity to the slopes.

The Upshot

The client was delighted with the event. It provided senior figures with time to share ideas, problem solve and build strategies around specific issues and objectives. As a result, it helped strengthen important relationships and generated valuable brand engagement. The group also had great fun in magnificent surroundings.
